FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • How do I book with you?
Please fill out the above service request form, or send me an email directly at allisonpecoreartistry@gmail.com. Please be sure to include your first and last name, the date and location of your special event, and the number of indivudials requesting services, and we will be sure to respond at the earliest opportunity. If I am available on your requested date, then I will send you a quote and then a contract which must be signed to secure your date.
  • Do you travel?
Of course! I am available to be on-site by request. Mileage is calculated from my home address in Catonsville, MD, and is charged by the national IRS mileage rate, which is currently at $0.625 per mile. Any travel fees (tolls, parking, valet, etc.) must be covered by booking party.
  • Do you offer wedding trials & should I get one?
Absolutely! Although makeup trials are not required to book, it is highly suggested you book one! This is your opportunity to work with Allison to trial and perfect your makeup look BEFORE the big day. Makeup trials are often scheduled to be coordinated on the date of a special event, such as engagement photos, bridal showers, etc. What if you end up not liking the lip color you originally thought you would, or you find you want to go bolder/tone down the eyes? No problem! That's why we do trials!
  • Where do you do your makeup trials?
I do trials at my in-home studio, located in Catonsville, MD, or a location of your choosing. Makeup trials performed outside of my in-home studio are charged a travel fee.
  • I have a large bridal party. Do you have a team or a second artist?
We love large bridal parties! The more the merrier, right? For larger groups, or parties with time constraints, an additional makeup artist may be necessary. Each additional makeup artist is an additional $100 fee. As the bride, rest assured that your makeup will always be provided by Allison!
  • Do you feel comfortable working with different skin tones, types and maturities?"
Yes! As a woman of mixed race who has dealt with her own skin issues (acne-prone, sensitive and very oily skin) since adolescence, I am deeply passionate about skincare and skincare education. I pride myself in delivering equal care, professionalism and makeup artistry to all clients, regardless of differences in their skin tone/type or maturity.
  • How much time does makeup take?
For weddings, I usually allot at least 1 hour for each bridesmaid/attendee's makeup application and 1.5-2 hours for the bride. Makeup trials require 2-3 hours.
